We're looking for a dedicated and punctual delivery driver to help distribute our newspapers to racks and businesses throughout Lewis and Thurston counties.
Position Overview:
As a Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for the timely delivery of our newspapers in bulk to various businesses across Lewis and Thurston counties.
Your role is instrumental in ensuring businesses receive their newspaper bundles for further distribution.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Loading, transporting, and delivering newspapers in bulk to designated businesses within Lewis and Thurston counties.
2.
Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure the correct number of newspaper bundles have been loaded and that orders are complete.
3.
Assisting in mapping efficient delivery routes.
4.
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and providing daily delivery logs.
5.
Ensuring the delivery vehicle is always clean, safe, and in good working condition.
6.
Communicating with dispatchers, coworkers, and business representatives in a professional manner.
7.
Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2.
Previous delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
3.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
4.
Ability to lift and carry newspaper bundles up to 50 lbs.
5.
Familiarity with streets and neighborhoods in Lewis and Thurston counties is beneficial.
6.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
7.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8.
Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
