Nurse Supervisor, Pediatric Clinic

Northwest Pediatric Center Northwest Pediatric Center Centralia, WA Centralia, WA Full-time Full-time $95,000 a year $95,000 a year Northwest Pediatric Center is seeking an RN Supervising Nurse to oversee our department of approximately two dozen RNs, LPNs and MAs.

The Registered Supervising Nurse will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of the nursing department.
This is a 4-day a week, full-time, salaried position, whose duties include:
-Managing nursing personnel:
interviewing applicants, hiring new nurses and MAs, monitoring licensure of nursing staff, conducting performance reviews -Contributing at weekly management team meetings -Leading monthly nursing department meetings -Monitoring PTO and daily clinic staffing needs -Ensuring compliance with Rural Health Clinic, OSHA, and Health Department regulations -Serving on the Quality Improvement Committee -Reviewing nursing policies and procedures -Ensuring chart reviews are completed -Providing educational opportunities to nursing staff -Overseeing employee vaccinations -Notifying the state of reportable conditions They will have six clinical leads to assist them in carrying out their duties (Trainer, Vaccine Coordinator, Scheduler, Ordering & Supplies, Equipment & Maintenance, Laboratory Liaison) and these leads will report directly to the Supervising Nurse.
Because they need to be visible and in the trenches with the other nurses, they will work one day a week as a floor nurse, with the remaining days doing the aforementioned administrative tasks.
