Full-time, additional overtime as neededPRIMARY DUTIES:
Assemble electrical panels from bare parts as a component to an industrial air compressor.
Build panels for various support mechanisms within the industrial equipment field.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of 3 phase electrical Read & interpret P&ID's and electrical schematics Mechanical skills Physically able (lifting of 40
lbs occasionally) Work well independently/self-starter and with a team DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Such duties include, but are not limited to:
oInspects components for proper assembly, specifications, fit and finish from vendor packaging.
oPlans assembly and positions components according to knowledge of unit being assembled and through interpretation of engineering drawings, layout drawings or electrical schematics.
oPositions components manually and fastens parts together with bolts, screws, or other fasteners, using hand and portable powered tools.
oDemonstrates ability to use power tools safely and efficientlyoWork in conjunction with Team Lead to ensure panels meet design parameters/CSA specifications.
oPerform workstation and shop clean-up duties as assigned.
oProvide own standard tools within a reasonable time of hire (will provide necessary tools until this is accomplished)EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEQualifications and Requirements:
oEducation:
High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
oKnowledge of basic hand tools the equivalent of that which would be able to do house or car maintenance.
SKILLSoRequires the ability to read and use handheld measurement devices (tape measure) as well as electrical measurement devices (Fluke meter).
oAbility to apply electrical and mechanical principlesoAbility to read and wire equipment in conformance with electrical schematics/ CSA standardsoAbility to recognize common mechanical and electrical componentsoExcellent communication skillsoMust work well with others in a safe and self-directed mannerLANGUAGE SKILLSReading:
Ability to read and interpret the following documents:
employee manuals, safety guidelines, electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical sketches.
Verbal:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees.
Ability to discern what questions to ask when requirements are unclear.
Participate in meetings and discussion groups as required.
Writing:
Verify proper standards are being met on CSA Documentation.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to measure and determine proper clearances and fits on back panels for panel assembly.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic or schedule form.
APTITUDES - TYPICAL PERFORMANCEGeneral learning ability is above average.
Finger and manual dexterity, spatial perception and motor coordination are required to be above average.
